Assistant General Manager
Responsibilities include: general oversight of the waterfront restaurant and bar – including daily operations and guest service, oversight of staff and scheduling, assisting with interviewing and hiring staff, assisting in procurement of goods and services for the restaurant, ensuring high quality guest experiences, and focusing on profitability and efficiency.
- Responsibilities Include:
- Manage day to day operations of restaurant
- Ensure compliance with company’s policies and guidelines to ensure 100% guest satisfaction and profit maximization, providing a quick resolution for any issues that arise
Possess excellent guest service knowledge and abilities - Create a fun, professional working environment
- Ability to handle high stress situations and issues that arise during service times
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays. Reliable transportation required.
- Train, retain and develop quality staff
- Provide leadership and training to personnel; recognize and motivate members of the team; coach and train the team for operational excellence
- Participate with GM in budgeting process
Assisting with managing financial records, cashouts, bank deposits - Creating/overseeing schedules for F&B
- Assist GM in overseeing orders, inventory and POS system
- Fill in for staffing gaps when needed and assist/support during peak periods
Requirements:
- 2 years restaurant experience in supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Strong analytical/decision-making skills
- Ability to walk up steps
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
